Addison Browne, LPC Associate

Supervised by Lauren Gastorf, LPC-S

Hi, I’m Addison! My hope is that therapy can be a place where you can exhale and feel like you don’t have to walk through life’s challenges alone. All emotions and parts of yourself—the messy, broken, chaotic, and scared—are welcome here. I will meet you where you are at with a friendly and warm presence. My goal is for you to experience more self-compassion and confidence in being your authentic self.

I work with clients who struggle with complex trauma, dissociation, low self-esteem, and anxiety. They often feel exhausted and stuck in unhealthy cycles. Many have had difficult childhoods and are seeking to heal painful wounds. They feel frustrated by coping through perfectionism, going into fight/flight or shut down mode, or criticizing themselves.

As a therapist, I take a trauma-informed, collaborative, and holistic approach with clients. I enjoy integrating parts work, mindfulness, neurobiology, and knowledge about the nervous system. I am passionate about the integration of mind and body, and I help clients reconnect with their bodies. I believe healing happens when we have a safe space to explore ourselves and are connected to a healthy community.

A little about me: I am a native Texan and have lived in Austin for three years. I received my bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University (go Pokes) and my master’s degree from Seminary of the Southwest. Growing up, I played competitive volleyball, which taught me the importance of incorporating movement and play into our lives. When not in the therapy room, you can find me playing sand volleyball, pickleball, practicing yoga, or walking around Town Lake with friends.

If you are ready to take the next steps toward healing and growth, please reach out. I would be honored to walk alongside you on this journey. My email is addison.browne@therapyaustin.com and my phone number is (512)-201-4501×341.
