Hi there! I’m Carly. I recognize that seeking a therapist can feel overwhelming, and I want to commend you for taking this important step towards prioritizing yourself and your growth.
When working with me, you can expect a non-judgmental and collaborative approach where you are always seen as the expert of your own lived experiences. My practice is rooted in empathy and compassion, creating a safe and supportive environment for you to show up as your authentic self. I work with individuals and couples and am affirming of folks in the LGBTQIA+ and consensual nonmonogamy communities, as I identify within these communities myself. I strive to learn and grow continuously alongside my clients to create an inclusive and meaningful therapeutic space.
In session, I draw on strength-based approaches that center the therapeutic relationship. With my background as a registered trauma-informed yoga teacher, we may incorporate mindfulness or somatic practices to support your goals. Additionally, my previous work in nonprofit and advocacy roles, focusing on reproductive and sexual health and wellness, has shaped my approach, which prioritizes autonomy, is sex-positive, and is grounded in justice-oriented perspectives.
Currently, I am completing my final semester in the Master of Social Work program at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas. In my free time, I enjoy reading, swimming in spring-fed pools, and escaping Central Texas to go surfing. Thank you for considering working with me. If you feel we might be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey and working together to achieve your therapeutic goals.
