Hi there!
I am glad you found your way to my page today. Reaching out for help is the first and often one of the hardest steps in the therapeutic journey, so recognize the strength it took to explore counselors today. Whether you are struggling with mental health symptoms or relationship issues, I hope to be someone who can walk beside you and empower your abilities.
As a therapist, I operate from a humanistic approach meaning that you are the expert in your life and through our work together we can create a plan best suited for your needs. Your story is unique and it is important. I want to join you to better understand how the dominant narratives from your past impact your functioning and then help you begin to rewrite your story in a way that better serves your current season of life. I believe acceptance of yourself and your story will lead you to live more authentically.
In our sessions, I strive to create a warm and non judgmental space every week. I appreciate collaboration and welcome feedback throughout the therapeutic process. Since therapy is different for everyone, I try to tailor my approaches to what works best for your goals. Some of my modalities include narrative informed, CBT and family systems theory. I have worked with individuals experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, relationship conflict and complex trauma. Outside of therapy, I can be found at the ballet barre or the yoga studio. I enjoy anything that stimulates the creative mind. My current obsession is learning how to crochet.
I look forward to hearing from you!
