Gabriela "Gaby" Reyna-Ortega, LPC Associate
Supervised by Nidia Valadez, LPC-S
Life can be challenging, yet you’re determined to achieve a better future. You may not know exactly what those barriers are or how you want your future to look, and that’s okay!
I’m Gabriela, but you can call me “Gaby.” Together, we’ll explore what’s important to you, develop practical strategies to enhance your life, and share a laugh along the way. Drawing from therapeutic approaches like Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental space where you can proudly be yourself.
As a first-generation Mexican-American, I understand the challenges of mental health stigmas, generational trauma, navigating dual identities, and cultural pressures. I earned a certificate in bilingual counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio as part of my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and the completion of a 200-hour yoga training, I integrate a holistic understanding of mind-body connection into my practice.
I have firsthand experience working with young adults grappling with anxiety and frustration, as well as with adolescents and their families through juvenile programs across Texas.
If you’re ready to take the next step toward a brighter future, let’s connect and start this journey together.
