Joleen Mireles, LPC Associate
Supervised by Cindy Payne, LPC-S
Hello! I’m Joleen. Going to therapy should be a meaningful and fulfilling experience. When you walk into the room you should feel comfortable to open up about any issues you are experiencing. In our time together we will laugh, cry, have break throughs and find solutions. We will build our therapeutic relationship on trust, humor, and vulnerability.
I have worked with teens who have struggled with addiction, newly diagnosed mental illness, and who have troubling behavior at home/school. I have also worked with parents who have children with a disability, and helping them through their emotions. Everyone needs an outlet to talk about their issues, and when working with me you will feel like a priority.
My clinical training was done in a residential facility for teen boys. We worked on family relation issues, social issues, behavioral issues, and addiction issues. I want to continue bringing comfort and relief to others. About me: I am originally from Harlingen, TX. I have two young children with my husband, and we also have two dogs. Motherhood is hard and can leave you feeling out of place at times. I try my hardest to give my full effort into everything that I do and I have learned that my best looks different every day. I find the most comfort in this section of the serenity prayer “Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference” Sometimes it is hard to know the difference, so let’s work on finding the difference together.
