Hi! Congrats on taking that scary/awkward first step towards healing- searching for a therapist. I know it can be daunting, but I hope you’ll find your efforts are definitely worthwhile.
I’m here to offer you a warm, non-judgmental space to embark or continue on your mental health journey. Whether you are experiencing stress from everyday life, difficulty with relationships/life transitions, or more significant mental illness impacting your functioning, I believe we can get you to a better place. As we work together, I will be here to genuinely celebrate your success with you. When we hit the inevitable speed bumps on the path to your healing, know that I will be here to encourage and support you. You have the strength and the ability to progress toward your goals, and I am committed to holding the space for you to make that progress.
As a recovering people pleaser myself, I know it can be tempting to minimize your struggles in therapy. You can trust that I will be here to encourage you to share all of yourself with me- the good, the bad, and the ugly! We will likely share some tears together along the way, and hopefully some laughs, too!
About me: I completed my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Fordham University in New York City in 2013. After completing my counseling degree, I spent three months in Thailand completing a yoga teacher training course, which led me to teach yoga in 20 different yoga studios across eight different countries. Having this breadth of experience helps me to think “outside the box” and utilize creativity in our therapy sessions. Prior to venturing into private practice, I worked with incarcerated individuals through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice- so there’s not much you can tell me that I haven’t heard already! Perhaps the only title I hold more dear than “therapist” is that of “mom” to my two small children. Both personally and professionally, I have a passion for helping individuals in their journey to becoming parents
