Sandra Seidel, LPC-A (Texas), Therapist
Life doesn’t always unfold the way we imagined it would. Sometimes we’re faced with unexpected loss, relationship challenges, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, or life transitions that leave us wondering, “How did I get here?” Or “Where do I go from here? ” Whatever has brought you to therapy, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I believe every person has the capacity to heal, grow, and create meaningful change. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we work together to create the life you want to live.
I believe the best therapy happens within a relationship built on trust, honesty, and genuine connection. Together, we’ll process painful experiences, explore what’s keeping you stuck, and develop practical skills to help you navigate overwhelming emotions, improve relationships, respond to life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience, and create lasting, meaningful change. Whether you’re hoping to reduce anxiety, work through grief, strengthen your relationships, better understand yourself, or simply stop feeling overwhelmed, therapy can provide the tools and support needed to create lasting change. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples and draw from evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Positive Psychology, tailoring therapy to each person’s unique strengths, goals, and experiences.
After serving 24 years in the United States Air Force and retiring as a Major, I followed my passion for helping others by earning my Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, a CACREP-accredited program. I completed my graduate practicum at Hospice Austin, where I provided counseling and support to individuals and families coping with serious illness, grief, depression, changes in identity, and the emotional challenges that often accompany life’s most significant transitions.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time exercising, country dancing, reading, and rescuing German Shepherds. These experiences continually remind me of the resilience, connection, and hope that are possible—even during life’s most challenging seasons.
It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you discover your strengths, build new skills, and create a meaningful life. I believe every person has the capacity to heal, grow, and create meaningful change.
