Hello, my name is Chase, and I’m glad you’ve found your way here. Starting the therapy process can be challenging and stressful, so congratulations on putting in the effort! Through acceptance, warmth, and genuine interest on my part, I hope that we can work together to create the change you desire.
I view therapy as a team effort to explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. Through this exploration, we can uncover and utilize the strengths you already possess, even if it feels like there may not be any (I promise there are). I also believe it is essential to challenge and offer alternatives to unhealthy labels or patterns you may find yourself in. These patterns, feelings, and labels may make it hard to complete daily tasks, function well in social settings, or experience the happiness you deserve.
It’s often easier to open up to people when you know a little about them. So, let me tell you a bit about myself. I recently graduated from Texas State University with a master’s in professional counseling and have been living in the Austin/San Marcos area for the past seven years. My work experience includes counseling pregnant and parenting teen moms, providing substance use treatment for adults, counseling in private practice, and crisis intervention in a psychiatric hospital. I also work with the National Suicide Prevention Line (988) taking calls and aiding people in crisis. I believe my experience is beneficial as it helps me be present with you during moments of crisis and provide consistent and quality care. As for personal interests, I adore cooking and eating with friends, trying out new restaurants, playing video games, and watching movies I’ve never seen before.
I love the mental health field, but more importantly, I love people and hearing their stories. If you feel like we may be a good match or would like to explore our potential connection, please reach out to me at 512-201-4501 x 332. Thank you for considering sharing your story with me, and I hope to see you soon!
