Hello, hello! Welcome to Therapy Austin!
Whether this is your first experience or if you’re returning to therapy, I commend you for taking this time for yourself.
What are my areas of focus?
Identity exploration, women’s issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, life transitions and adjustments, self-esteem, stress, anxiety, and depression. Do you find yourself asking: “Who am I? Where do I belong? Where do I go from here?” These identity questions may feel large and overwhelming. If you are experiencing troubles in connection to these thoughts, know that you will be seen and heard here. I aim to create a space that feels safe and comforting so that we may meet these questions with curiosity and vulnerability in session. This is a non-judgmental space to explore new identities, new ideas, and grow your personal sense of self. We have been taught that vulnerability is a pitfall, but I believe vulnerability to be an unharnessed superpower!
What’s it like working with me?
My approach to the therapeutic relationship is warm, conversational, and collaborative. I see you as the expert on yourself, bringing a wealth of past experience and knowledge. I am dedicated to walking alongside you as you challenge, discover, and explore. I value the unique perspective and experience of each client, and enjoy co-crafting a path tailored to you. As we work together you can expect to explore coping mechanisms and practice emotional regulation in addition to exploring existential questions. In my practice, I will meet where you are and move through the process together however that looks on the given day. You’ve had a long day and need to lay while we chat? Get comfy! You prefer sitting on the floor? Meet ya there! You’re experiencing sensory overwhelm today? Let’s dim the lights and pick a fidget from the basket! I am LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent affirming, all identities are welcome here.
A little more about me!
I began my academic journey at University of Houston before completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at St. Edward’s University. In my spare time you can find me with my nose in a book, my hands in my flower garden, or out enjoying the glimmers of life! I have a soft spot for the paranormal, spooky, and magical things in life as well. I value a funky, weird, and fun life! If you feel that we would be a good fit or have any questions, feel free to reach out!
