Lorelei Qunibi, LMSW
Welcome, and thank you for being here. Whether you are new to therapy or looking to start fresh again, the process can often feel overwhelming. I appreciate you taking the next step in your personal journey of self-reflection, discovery, and healing.
Therapy allows us a space for connection and reflection. I am here to provide you a safe and judgment-free space to process and gain deeper clarity and insight into trauma, behavior patterns, and/or interpersonal conflicts that may be preventing you from achieving your unique sense of fulfillment and purpose in life.
My approach to therapy is authentic, warm, and compassionate. I believe in the power of relational therapy. I strive to create a space for you to feel listened to, heard, and understood. A place to reflect on the past, live in the present, and grow in the future, at your pace.
I am trained in DBT and CBT and utilize both modalities to address patterns, cultivate space for self-compassion, and unearth any barriers that you feel may be preventing you from living your most authentic and fulfilling life. My specialties include working with young adults, adolescents, new mothers, and families. I am familiar with working with highly sensitive persons (HSP), trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, and eating disorders. I am BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
I received a B.A. in English and American Literature from New York University in 2015. After working in publishing and financial technology, I followed a new path that aligned with my innate passion—connecting with and helping others. I received my Masters in Social Work from New York University in 2021.
I love to travel and explore new places and cultures. I received my 200-hour YT certification in Koh Samui, Thailand in 2014. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, trying new food (I have a high spice tolerance!), and spending time with my family and daughter. If you think we may be a good fit, please feel free to reach out!
