Oksana Fiialo, LPC, LCDC
Do you find yourself feeling stuck with no way out? Does it seem like everybody, except for you, is happy? Do the ways you have related to others in the past no longer seem to work? If so, there is hope. The fact that you are here, reading these lines, means you are ready to find new ways of relating and embracing change.
My name is Oksana. I am originally from Ukraine and moved to the United States five years ago. I have two master’s degrees: one in clinical psychology from Kyiv Institute of Modern Psychology and Psychotherapy and another in counseling from St. Edward’s University. In the States, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Brandi M. Smith, LPC-S. My specialties are anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and low self-esteem.
I have struggled in many of the ways that you may struggle now, and seeking therapeutic help saved my life and changed it for the better. Just as I learned that my struggles didn’t define me, you will see that your battles don’t have to define you either, regardless of what you’re facing. Within the safety of a therapeutic relationship, we will collaboratively discover your internal strengths and resources to help you regain your power. I believe in resilience and the unconquerable human spirit. I know you can find healing to trust again. As you more clearly understand how your past influences your present, you will begin to exchange old, dysfunctional patterns of relating to yourself and others for new, more adaptive ways of relating. As we explore your inner world, you will be more comfortable owning your values, likes, needs, and wants.
I aim to draw from the vast array of therapeutic approaches to develop a personalized plan tailored to meet your emotional and relational goals. My experience living in different countries and being fluent in English, Spanish, Ukrainian, and Russian has broadened my worldview. I enjoy exploring our different perspectives and working together to build a new way of seeing your story.
If you think we would work well together, please reach out, and let’s begin a journey of health and healing together.
