Elizabeth "Liz" Duffey, LCSW

she/her/hers
Senior Counselor
Fully Licensed
Specialized in Addiction and Recovery

Hi there, and welcome! I’m glad you found your way here and have decided to take steps toward healing and growth. In both my own life and through work with clients over the years, I’ve gotten to see that change IS possible and we CAN feel and live better! I believe that providing a safe, supportive, non-judgmental place for my clients to come as they are is the first step toward healing and personal growth.

Because we are all unique and come to the table with such varied experiences and beliefs, I avoid a “one size fits all” approach to therapy and prefer to tailor my therapeutic approach to your individual needs. A few approaches I find helpful in therapy include dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed care.

My experience includes working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health centers as well as inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment centers. Over the past few years, my focus has been on working with clients struggling with addiction and cross-addictions related to food, sex, gambling, and codependency. I have had the opportunity to work alongside clients as they transform their lives through renewed thought and behavior patterns, experience healing in their relationships, and become more fully who they want to be. Now more than ever, I believe we all need the healing power of connection to live our best lives.

Whether working through addiction, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, or other behaviors that no longer serve you, I believe the throughline is the same: your suffering has become more uncomfortable than the prospect of changing.

If you are interested in working together, you can reach out to me at 512/201-4501, ext. 254.
