Susannah Kay, LMSW
Supervised by Norman Cobb, LCSW-S
Are you feeling disconnected from your life purpose? Are you struggling with negative self-talk and debilitating thoughts and fears? Are you wading through the depths of grief and loss? I’m here to help guide and support you on the journey of unleashing your innate strength, wisdom, and ability to heal. I view my role as your co-pilot; together we can challenge beliefs that no longer serve you, bring awareness to how your past experiences inform your present self, and find freedom by responding to life’s challenges in new ways.
My style is compassionate, playful, challenging, and curious. I utilize a strengths-based, client-centered approach and invite collaboration during every step of the therapeutic process. My areas of clinical focus include life transitions, death and dying, trauma, sports psychology, grief and loss, and relationship to food and body image.
I come to the mental health profession by way of my own emotional transformations, formal studies, and professional experiences. My undergraduate degree is in Visual Communication from Ohio University. My master’s degree is in Clinical Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin.
In my free time, you’ll find me hiking with my pups (Tupelo, Frida, and Roo), grabbing a smoothie at Juiceland, visiting my nephews in Northern California, or attending a UT volleyball game (go Longhorns!).
I look forward to meeting you, working with you, and growing together.
